We Are The Missouri Choral Society

The Missouri Choral Society was founded as the Saint Charles Choral Society in 1971 and is a community chorus that performs predominantly in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. The members of the choral society are seasoned choral musicians and volunteers. Since its inception, the choral society is under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Greenlaw.

Dr. Kenneth Greenlaw has served as conductor and artistic director of the Missouri Choral Society since it’s inception in 1971. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Occidental College in Los Angeles.  He was a member of Robert Shaw’s Carnegie Hall Centennial Chorus singing the Brahms’ German Requiem.  He is a recipient of the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce’s Distinguished Lifetime Service Award and the Union Electric/St. Charles County Arts Council Award, both for outstanding contributions to the cultural life of the area.
